Been tentatively snugging together TTR suspension parts, delivering seals to the painter to make sure everything fits.

New fuel and a blast around the lanes. Oulton Park first meeting tomorrow, it's been the longest "closed season" that I can remember!

Tell me about it, Loton park open's it's gates for it's first competitive session in 6 months! I have almost died with boredom.

Drove it for a few miles to warm it up and shake the winter dust off.

I had a Garage Tour at my house for our Philadelphia Area Lotus Society club. Sunny day and 16 Lotus cars in my driveway. Plus a great group of people. What better way to spend a day than talk about everything Lotus!
If you showed up in a Lotus car, the driver received a very limited edition 2019 Garage Tour T-Shirt from GRS Motorsports.

Took my body man Mike's swatches to Gary Anderson's for a little comparison. The swatches are cabc26b's PPG Concept formula previously posted. Mike sprayed that formula with his preferred two-pack, then did another taking out the green, and finally the paint rep found that the Light Celeste formula exists in their computer for Concept, so Mike sprayed a swatch in that.

This is Gary's Tingle's Sow's Ear Rustoleum blended by eye with the swatches.

And here is an original Medici blue door, partially sanded, with the swatches for comparison:

The Concept swatch is left, the without green next, and the formula in two-pack right. The swatches are glossy, so funny reflections show.

Next is to trundle the door up to Mike for his expert comparison.

Painted the last of the panels. Only 2.5 years since the crash...

Rebuild can commence, as soon as I take down my makeshift spray booth!

Drove my 1973 130/5 today. Its first outing for at least 20 years. I have just finished a slow 5 year recommission.
The car has a 1700 tall block conversion with L14 cams, bigger valves, Cosworth valve springs and a gas flowed head. Plenty of power & torque. I have fitted a LR chassis obtained from a forum member. Aldon ignitor ignition & Flamethrower coil. All suspension & brakes rebuilt with all rubber bushes renewed. There are no gel cracks or crazing on the bodywork.
I will be selling the car in the near future to make room for a new project as I prefer bringing old cars back to life rather than driving them!!
