What did you do to your Lotus today...

She has a slightly bigger caboose.
The Emira looks HUGE in comparison.....

Refitted the sump to the car. Found one of the front bolt holes to be stripped, so had to come up with a bodge until next time the engine comes out and I have access to fit a thread insert.

Minor job yesterday, for once.
Fitted a new rubber diaphragm to the heater valve.
Had wondered why I was leaving a trail when I drove into a person's driveway.
New, but very old, diaphragm which needed attacking with a heat gun to make it sufficiently flexible to fit.
Be interesting to see if it lasts.
As seems the norm nowadays the failed one was about 5 years old, the one prior about 35....
Ralph.

No diaphragm to fail in this valve:

Stripped the chassis. Getting the diff out was a RPITA. Chassis is in surprisingly good shape now its off to the blaster while I prep the body for paint.

instead of a daily update here, perhaps you should start a new thread dedicated solely to your restoration folks could follow with earnest?

Picked up my new Elantrikbits driveshafts.
If the build quality is half as good as the packaging quality I’m going to be a happy bunny. I’ve been unpacking for over 15 minutes and got this far
