DHL: Shipping Issues

A follow up to the DHL saga...
DHL finally declared the package lost. TTR quickly dispatched another package and it was received timely and in good order. I was instructed by DHL to contact billing since I paid fees that should not have been due and since I had not received the shipment.
I spent a good deal of time trying to locate a live person to speak with. No joy. The best I could do was to get a recording indicating a long wait time and that DHL would be more responsive if I indicated a time when DHL could return my call. The DHL recording indicated that could call back between 3:30 and 5:00 pm that day. I indicated that 3:30 pm would work.
The recorded message confirmed they would call back at 3:30 in 5 days. OK. Not what was indicated initially but that will work.
Five days go by and no call. A week goes by and no call. Last night at 11:29 pm CST I get a call from an 800 number. I don't pick up calls from numbers I don't recognize. If it is important the caller will leave a message. A message is left on my phone, and it is DHL. The message indicates that DHL will attempt to reach me 3 times. If they do not get in touch, the call will be dropped and DHL will eliminate the query. In other words my complaint will no longer be registered.
Five minutes later another call comes in. I pick up the call. It is DHL again. There is a recorded message with my claim number being referenced and that I should press 2 if I would like to speak with billing. I press the number 2.
Here's the good part. The line gets switched to billing where once again I get a recorded message, "Billing hours are from x o'clock to y o'clock. Please call during these hours. Good bye."

Hi Twebb,
I feel sorry for you and understand 100%.
The service i had was crap and a real windup. At one stage i wished i had never ordered and started my Project to get a Hardtop made for my 1978 TVR 3000S.
If now when i need something sent from UK to France and i can choose Transporter i never ever use DHL.
I hope someone at DHL sees these Blogs on the Forum and get up off their Butts and improve things.
If i was a Supplier and had problems like this i would stop using them.
I wish you good luck for future deliveries.
Alan
