From the same supplier or just about ( http://www.123roulement.com - no affiliation ) I got the actual Timken , more expensive but seems legit...

I drove the car with app logging data (via usb-c to DB9 convertor) from AEM gauge:

Doesn't look too bad but need to do better job of driving certain test cases and isolating the data so I can better look at any changes needed.

There probably a little room to go leaner on both main jets and idle jets. (Idle is set up for ~12AFR).

Good grief man !! What are you doing? This a Lotus forum not something about space shuttles!!

What sort of motor car do have to abuse it in this way?

PS - I have just fitted famous Franks NF tubes and you would not believe the improvement in performance...........

Lol. I wouldn't call a 9600bps rs232 connection rocket science. The technology is older than the car!

As far as I know it's just a standard big valve engine. I have an older Kieth setup on the car that I am trying to dial in. Moving from 125 to 115 main jets made the car feel like a rocket at higher revs. I think there probably some room for improvement left but is quite good as it is.

Did about 30 miles in the Plus 2 yesterday, longest drive yet. Everything seems to have worked well enough. The clutch is still sticking when disengaged much of the time, so that's first priority next time I spend some time in the garage.
I've fitted a proper catch-can so I can more closely monitor the blow-by. Also did the heat-shrink trick on the dipstick and that seemed to work at that end. But most importantly, I had a really enjoyable time during the drive!

Sticking clutch? Have you tried just let it slip for a few seconds to burn of the discs? Has worked for me in the long and distant............

While we're on the subject of strange animal byproducts, I'm treating my Weber throttle spindle seals with this....
