Let the pictures do the talking.
Great pic's Mark. had me beat hands down. The way you hd written the post had me thinking you were wondering what the hell was going on there... Marvelous to see. And brilliant that the car looks to be in the best of hands.

Spot-on Rob. Elan rear suspension adapted in 1963 for Jim Clark's road going Lotus Cortina.A chum bought the car late last year, and we've been having a bit of fun researching the history etc. I thought that the Elan content may be of interest.

That's a great start to Friday
So can we expect to see more photos of Jimmy's car on your excellent website?

Bit of an itro series. This is effectively a one owner 42 years Elan Sprint. The original owner bought it as demonstrator from a Dealer in Birmingham and has owned it since. I came to Australia in 2004 and has just been driven around an industrial estate and not registered! The Engine was rebuilt in 2002 by QED in the UK and has done less than 500 miles. The Chassis is surprisingly OK and has had one repair of the left engine mount.
and yes that is a spare chassis with the car along with a pile of spares. The Best way to describe this can is a time warp as so much is untouched. it has been painted hence now side script.
Cheers

Somebody posted their version of these photos a few weeks ago, but I can't find them to post a follow up. So they'll have to go here. I wish I knew how many times the clock has been around. I doubt that this is the first time.
Taken as I was driving through Concord, Massachusetts, on the way into work today. (Concord is where the American Revolution or, depending on your upbringing, War of Independence started.)
Then, a nice find while strolling through Boston Common on Marathon day, last weekend. I'd never noticed it before.
