Tomorrows 10th Sept is Malcolm Ricketts Racing Workshop Open Day as notified in the Club Lotus magazine.
Old Dairy Barn, Lamer Lane, Wheathampstead, AL4 8RG from noon until about 18:00.
I think this is the first major one since the Covid-19 virus arrived. The CL magazine note says several unusual Lotus cars will be on display.
There will be a BBQ, in exchange for donations to the local charity: Isabel Hospice.

Alas I am still a bit too shaky to go myself and I haven't had the Elan out at all for about a year so without a shakedown she might be too unreliable.
~~~~~~
My Elan S3 was Malcolm Ricketts first Lotus.
Hi Bill,
I will be there with my +2 along with Adam Mills (Pasta Pesto) and Paul Alexander (Elan66), such a shame that you won’t be there. I will be sure to mention you to Malcolm & Jill and will post up lots of photos and try to remember to add names and captions so that those overseas can follow the proceedings.
Malcolm’s gathering is always a good event and he always manages to find some interesting and unique cars that he persuades the owners to display and share.
I look forward to seeing some of the Elan.net community at the event, stay tuned for pictures on Sunday
I went along on Saturday and I bumped into a quite a few old friends that I hadn't seen for many years. The highlight for me was being reunited with the 61 which I part owned with my brother which we sold in 1986. It's current custodian is Dick Dixon who has owned and raced it for the past 31 years
More
Malcolm was in good form and didn't stop entertaining his guests all day.
Trevor Taylor was a team mate of Jim Clark, his grandson is wearing his old crash helmet here. Trevor's family were at the BBQ and brought along a Rolex watch gifted to Trevor by Jim Clark after he handed his car over so that Clark could go on to win the Mexican GP. Engraved "Winner 1962 Mexican Grand Prix".... No doubt a very valuable timepiece given it's provenance.... I wasn't allowed a picture, sorry!
Simon Hands is the son of Don Hands (LWR Light Weight Racing), Don is a long time associate of Malcolm's, not at the event himself this year due to other commitments.
