Mike Spence Biography

For those of you who remember, Mike Spence was a gifted yet modest 1960s Team Lotus Formula 1 driver, number two to Jim Clark, as well as driving for BRM and Chapparal sports cars, who was tragically killed at Indianapolis in 1968.
When I was researching an article on the Spence Elan BRMs for Club Lotus magazine, it became clear to me that there was no biography on Mike, despite the vast lexicon of driver bios available. I thought this a great shame and needed rectifying. So I was delighted to see that Richard Jenkins has recently had published 'Mike Spence Out of the Shadows', a fulsome and well illustrated book on Mike Spence.
My copy arrived today and I have already begun to devour it. Available from Performance Publishing, who bring us 'Absolute Lotus' magazine and available from their via their website: https://www.performancepublishing.co.uk/books.html
