Looking for Willment information

Does anybody out there know of someone with some knowledge or records of the John Willment business/ racing days. I now own an interesting Cortina Lotus which has been in storage for nearly forty years and I would like to learn more of it's past. Despite the DVLA I have learned that it was first registered in Croydon and the nearest Ford dealership then was John Willment (Mitcham) Ltd. Any hints appreciated.
