On the underside, does the 'LOTUS' come through, or is it flat?
There are 2 types on ebay that look the earlier script and low dished, but some have the wording coming through and others are flush. Maybe Cortina???

The painted ones I have seen were of the flat backside kind, like the two recently or currently for sale on a well known auction site (no affiliation) :
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CLASSIC-LOTU ... true&rt=nc
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-Lotu ... 1438.l2649
I have also seen previously on the same auction site some later badges with the enamel broken off and painted, made to look like - and sold as - early version... but one tell tale that cannot lie is the width of the letters (easier to spot on the "O", as the larger inside diameter can be spotted at first sight even on a poor photo)
