I was just going through some old copies of Motor Sport looking for early TVR adverts, when I came across the following in the issue from October 1956 - may be of interest seeing our cars distant ancestor:

Interesting!
This was the first car called Lotus, but nowadays it's generally called the Mk2, and the earlier Austin Seven special is called the Mk1.
By the time this ad appeared we were up to the Eleven.
