Although Toad as electric headlamp lifts most of the pipework and connections are still present.
Manifold > tank T > open pipe.

1/ I take it I can remove it all as it does nothing, (apart from potentially ventilate the tank)

2/ Surely it gives a potential air leak straight into inlet 1??

Watch for the next exciting episode. :?

Yes remove it all, dead weight. Then plug the inlet, 1/8 bsp or 1/8 npt plug both seem to work ok...

Cheers.

I thought it would be Ok but it's worth a check! The strange thing is it all appears new.

It will be interesting to discover if it makes any difference to the running.

You have the vacuum suction line from the No 1 cylinder going via the reservoir tank to an open pipe as you have electric head light lifts?

No 1 cylinder must be running very very lean and not at all at idle if its really sucting in air through that line and its not plugged somewhere. Removing all that and plugging the holes should make a BIG difference

cheers

That's what I thought Rohan, but the plug is black (although less black than the others), so it is must be plugged plugged somewhere. The mystery is why leave it in place as it does nothing.

Especially as it all looks new.

The answer to the mystery starts with Spy.... They charge to renew the pipework, then charge again for the new system. Result!
