Cheers,
Pete.

I've seen that, but all that seems to be used from the original aircraft is the data plate.
Did anybody spot the second Lotus plate on the engine bay of the French Facebook car? I'd love to see a close up of that, maybe it was something the importers had to attach for registration purposes?

I got to see this last one back in March. They hadn't even really started on the project, but parts seem to be falling from the sky. My Florida place ( where I'm restoring my pre-airflo coupe) is only about 10 miles away and I hope they ask my help and guidance before they start trying to hang S3 and S4 parts onto an S1.
BTW, I'm pretty sure they've already sold the Cortina on a couple of times.

vs. a tad more than 6k? (fees probably not included, so about 7k in all I guess) for an S2 project at a recent auction in France :

sounds more reasonable to me (not that reason has anything to do in the Lotus world)

I have a 1965 S2 (26/4614) apart but complete - including a perfect interior, that I have had in storage since the late 1960's.
The body shell is complete, including a hardtop but is a little tattered and requires a full redo.
I purchased it as a spare parts provider for my '63 S1 1600 (26/0538) which I purchased new from the factory. I haven,t needed it really over the years altho it seemed a good idea at the time.
At 11,000 quid for trash maybe I should consider parting with it.
