Lakeside Engineering: Recommendation

JohnP recommended Lakeside in Addlestone, and having got my Elan back from them last week I heartily concur. Max and Tim are very knowledgeable, capable, and nice guys to boot.
I took the Elan in for a once-over, a servo removal, and an MoT and she came back like a rocket ship. Max spotted and rectified a problem with the throttle cable / linkage / pedal system which was inhibiting full throttle availability. He serviced and tuned the Webers, mounted them correctly at last (bolts were too short) and he sorted out a ignition niggle.
The net effect of all that is she now idles happily at 700 rpm when warn, and pulls hard and smooth in all gears. Even standing start in third if you wanted too.
Don't hesitate to use them. Max is now my go-to mechanic.
Best

Well Steve, there's a coincidence; That's my yellow Elise in the background of your 'photo, in for a fuel pump change after 200K miles. Amusingly, the fuel pump on the Elise is inside the tank, and the rest of the car is built around the tank. lovely job!
