Importing an S1 - obtaining a UK registration number

I am lucky enough to have bought a very early S1 from a fellow forum member, not seen it yet but by all accounts (including records of the careful restoration on the forum) it should be wonderful.
During the 7- days it will spend getting back to the UK (photos show it awaiting shipping) I want to start the process of obtaining a suitable ('A' plate) UK registration number.
I have a certificate of provenance from Andy Graham and a copy of the Australian registration document.
Can anyone share experience of obtaining a new but age related registration for a 're-imported' car and advice on how best to handle the process with the DVLA?
Thanks
David

Thanks - yes it was helpful (have been away!) and just sent off for a pack from DVLA.
