well, had a great day being shown around the factory yesterday with my mate, who drove me down there in his F-Type.
Scott Walker was very good in giving us the tour and an explanation of all the stages Elise, Exige and Evora's go through during production....fantastic quality of the cars, which in turn is testimony to the workmanship of the men and women hand-building Lotus cars.
I got to see my car!!! which is complete and is waiting for delivery to dealers, sometime next week, so I'm hoping to pick it up first week in March.
took a grainy pic. at factory:
will post some more when I collect it.

Can't wait to see them. The new range is really well built, I love my Elise. My Elan has more boot space though, does that make it more practical?

Well yes that's all well and good, but what about the Elan ????
Gordon Bennett, I am waiting to see the Elan and you scupper the plan in buying an Exige. You lucky bu99er.
Seriously, you will have a lot of envious looks with that stable. Me for one
Doug.

Yes definitely, I'm building an elan and the boot is HUGE, compared to this new Exige.

Hiya Doug!,
Elan is coming on nicely...wiring is main job just now and starting to put some carpet pieces in, so I can get the roll bar mounted. Radiator is plumbed in. Fuel tank is in. Exhaust is on.
I'll get some more pics up soon.
Ermm...yes I think I will get a bit distracted by new Exige coming in a couple of weeks.

I must truly admit, although I have 5 Elans, and 1 Europa, I really want an Elise in my garage. I want one sooo bad!!!! Or maybe its the air conditioning I want. Oh, it doesn't matter. I just want one!

my mate has an F-type coupe - V6 - it is a great car, very quick, more boot space and very comfortable for long drives.

Oh man, do I like the look of that Exige! When I was in Hethel a couple of years ago and the V6 version was in secret design production, they called it "the widow maker".
If it ever comes to the States I'm getting one straight away. And letting my wife know there's plenty of life insurance
