Spring is around the corner, the daffs are out alongside the snowdrops, thoughts soon turn to getting the cars out on the road more often.

Look the snow is turning to ice, it won't be long before its up to 2C here and then we can go swimming!
Good one Tim. makes me want to just jump in the water. Christ even Beau hasn't been in the water since 2010 ended, he couldn't break though the ice. I was able to open the garage today, Had to warm it up as yesterday morning it was -14C (6 F.) Yep pretty soon all the young women will be out in there spring Sweat shirts teasing all the men.

Def' Improvement here (Central Scotland) but its been very wet. This does have an effect on how I feel and consequent motivation. Or the lack of it!
I've just put it down to getting older.. I well remember changing the pistons on My Mk 1 Cortina GT outside my mother in laws house in freezing dark conditions. I just would not even think about that now.
I'm ready to refit the engine and box now though...Motivation again! Come on sunshine..
Looks bloody cold out there Gary. Makes Scotland look positively tropical. 8 deg' here today and quite sunny.

OK, the snowdrops are out, but the daffs are only just showing through - my friends in Spain say that their daffs are only just a little ahead of ours.
Cold outside tonight and snow forecast for Monday.
Tim, you must be living under a big greenhouse.
However, I still have 4 weeks to get the car on the road, the engine run-in and rolling road prepared for the first track day outing.

Elite fastback at Donington and a couple of possibly faked-up 26/R cars at TT workshop?
Cheers,

No, I dont think so Pete, those pics were taken at Malcolm Ricketts open evening last summer, and he doesnt do fakes!!!!!!!
A lot more of you should try to get along there this year, if he holds it. A great night, shame about the weather last year though.

Still too cold to do SFA in the garage .may be another three or four weeks to wait before the first attempt. Sadly Mr Anatoly Arutunoff was critically injured in a hit and run road accident when he stopped to aid another motorist. if you dont know him or know of him google him ---e

Well now, I only said "thoughts turning to summer" and I was prompted by the new daff heads making an appearance in the garden. I never said it was summer!
Leslie is correct. The photos were taken last year at Malcolm Ricketts'. I think the inside of his - or rather Mike Laughlin's - garage is most evocative. I have some more which I can post later.
