Hi,
I am new here
I just bought an Elan Sprint form 1971, it seems to be a bit mix of original and not so original, I need to continue doing some investigation as the car still has some surprises, but by now I am quite happy with the findings.
The engine and the gear box have been rebuild, and the general looking is quite decent, it has some improvements like the electric gas pump, or the alternator.
But at the same time there are some thing to be improved, like the cooling, the old radiator do not seems to work at all, and there are things to be replaced, like steering wheel, mirrors, or missing.
The car is in Madrid (Spain), and after some reading I have good confidence that I will get a lot of help to put my Elan in perfect order.
Here one pic, and sorry for my English (sometimes is terrible, I know)

Nice car. You are at the right place, and your English will get better ... by force

Welcome to the forum, and congratulations on your purchase.
A very simple upgrade is to paint the bottom of the sills black. They came out the factory that way, and for whatever reason many restorations miss this very simple step that in my opinion makes a significant difference to the appearance of the car.
