Hi Guys,
New to all this, although I don’t know why, as I’ve owned the Elan since 1977!
Just working my way through yet another 11 year rebuild, this time a complete paint job and interior overhall.
Does anyone know of a good match for the fabric seat inserts, mine have separated and discoloured to the point where I feel they would be best replaced.
Been running on all things Spyder since the early 80’s, I have all the original parts as well.
Always done my own work, been a joy to own and has never let me down.
Look forward to sharing stories and acquired knowledge.

A good trimmer might be able to relaminate the cord trim for you. I did this with my Europa with excellent results. Alternatively, you could replace the cloth inserts with the oatmeal ambla to match the rest of the seat. Jim

That looks like the result I’m looking for.
So it’s the original corded insert re stitched to either the original or replaced backing?

Small world - we have a JPS +2 and are based in South Lincs. It also has similar issues with the seat fabric - if you find a solution would you mind sharing it? - I'll do the same

& where would one acquire Oatmeal Ambla material Jim? I've been looking to source Black Ambla for years...
