Hi everyone. New to this site, and new to my Elan.
Live in Toronto - a Brit - retiring back to the UK in 18 months after 5 years here. I purchased a 1967 S4 SE from BaT 6 months back. It’s the yellow car listed by West Coast Classics. RNM. Decided to ship direct from LA to the UK - rather than via Toronto. About 25% of the cost!
Always wanted an Elan, and very pleased with the purchase. Steve, the original owner, is a lovely guy that made contact with me.
I’ve not seen the car - but told by my good friend who’s going to store the car for me - that it’s arrived in good shape.
I’m sure to be asking a bunch of silly Newbie questions, so please go gently on me!
I’m in my 60s and been collecting (and then selling) quite the list of classic cars. I sold the entire collection of 16 cars back in 2016 when coming to Canada. A mix of cars like an NSX, 72 Europa, 6 x 911, MX5 1990 with delivery miles, 1970 Datsun 240Z and two MK1 Golf GTI.
Today it’s just 5 cars. My ‘forever’ collection you might say (my wife says for sure). The 67 Elan, a 67 Super 7, 1972 911 ST, 1959 356A and a 1986 328 GTS. An odd collection that’s not everyone’s cup of tea - but works for me.
The house we bought earlier this year is near Silverstone. We move in October 2023.

I see it’s actually a 1969 S4, not a 67.

Im also a Brit in Toronto (North York), I will also be going back to the UK, I will be going in August (4 year work assignment).
I have my Lotus Elan Plus 2 in a classic car storage facility in Wales and super pumped to be getting it back soon. I kept myself busy here buying a 1994 SPI Mini, was great fun, but am longing to get the lotus back.
