I have not used the tyres, I suspect as I purchased for 5.5 width the treads are more of a rally version. So I should be happy.

Gearbox and cooling sorted, both needed a full rebuild. Now we wait for Coker to ship the XAS!

Agreed! S3 is the best to my eye, other than a 26R.

If you're looking at an Elan from the outside you are really missing the point. While you can debate the relative and all very good looks of the various versions it is really all about the look and feel over the steering wheel as you turn into a corner

Car now has TRR suspension and is awaiting carburation tuning

Update:

Car is with Ken Anderson of Mountune here in LA. I highly recommend him for any early Lotus related repair & restoration in the SoCal area. Needs a few mounting points welded plus general tuning in of the TTR suspension.
