Now you've gotten so close...
"N" = Federal variant Elan +2S
(Only +2Ss were manufactured after 01.01.70)
"U" = Federal "Big Value" engine number = +2S/130
LOT 0216N is = to the full Lotus Unit number and
is used by many states.
"7110" = Manufactured in October 1971,
but not invoiced until December 3, 1971.
The +2S and the +2S/130 are not the same. The latter is
the former with a Big Value engine, a new valve
cover and new badging.
