Hi.
Just wondering if the owner of PLN 246E is registered on this board.
This car used to belong to the father of my boss, so I'd like to make contact if that's possible.
I can see from publicly held data on the DVLA site that the car still exists and looks to be in use.
I look forward to hearing from.......someone
Thanks

This is what I have for that Elan:
Unit No: 6776
Type: 36 FHC
Series: 3
Spec: SE
Engine No: LP7###
Invoiced: Spring 67
Reg Date: 28.6.67
Reg No: PLN 246E
Reg Place: London NW
Tax Due: 1.5.22
Last V5 Change: 5.2.14
Last MoT: 1.5.18 with 94,712 miles
Current Colour: Red
Notes: 10.04 at auction Coys: "This Elan series 3 coupe from 1967 has had just 3 owners in total and covered just 3000 miles since an extensive restoration was undertaken in 2000. Work included a galvanised chassis, recalibrated instruments and a refurbished interior. The 1558c engine was fitted with a big valve head and the car is supplied with a new MoT, V5 log book and a history file containing a photographic and paper record of the work undertaken. Finished in red with a black interior this car is described by the vendor as in good all round condition. A fine very useable example of this English classic."

Hi there - not that this particularly helps you, but I owned this beauty in the late 1980s and early 1999s. I bought the car from an oil rigger in Aberdeen in 1986 and sold it to someone in Sussex after I got married in 1991. The car was my absolute pride and joy, we drove round the top of Scotland and did several trips to France - but mainly I kept it on the street in SW London and used it pretty much daily. Had some mechanical and structural issues over the years (there was a great Lotus garage under the arches near my office in Hammersmith), but we always managed to get home in (nearly) one piece. Happy days - would love to know if the car is still going strong.

No digital photos, but hopefully this comes out - apologies for the rather amateur decals.
