Welcome.
There?s a long Spyder Zetec thread on here, you?d be well advised to take advice from Spyderfan (Alan) on here as there are a couple of gearbox types one of which has advantages over the other.
Good luck in your search. If you?re in no hurry and you fancy a free day out come to Castle Combe on 25th May there?ll be hundred+ Elans and probably a few Spyder Elans there on the day.

Thanks chaps!.
25th May would be ideal, I'm may be able to wrangle a trip. I'm in East Anglia so it may prove to much with familly committments!
I've been viewing threads on this forum for a while so am getting a good idea of the pitfalls and benefits of a Zetec. I actually came very close to going to Spyder directly back in 2001 but ended up buying an Alfa 105 GTV instead - as a daily company car. So the itch has been with me for a while!

RichC,
Thank you. I'm not all that good with being active on forums, I reckon I'm on for the PistonHeads longest lurker but this forum will no doubt be different...
It looks like you're in Essex so you're not too far away. Is there a local meet that you know of that's worth attending. I'm on the Norfolk/Suffolk borders.

Hi Gordy
I'm a Zetec+2 owner but like you I'm not on the forums as much as I'd like to be (young kids also ruling my life).
Any questions feel free to ask away. I bought mine 5 years ago and to date have covered about 40'000miles!
Do you still have the GTV?

Hi Gav,
Thanks for the welcome...?
I sold the GTV as I had bought a 911 (964) to use as a daily which I sold after several years of enjoying. The chap I sold the GTV to has had it up for sale recently, I was very tempted to contact him but the thought of paying a huge amount of money more than I sold it for is a step too far, and don't mention the increase in value of the 964!!! My advise is - by a classic car off me and then watch the values rise!!!
I'm going to test drive the +2 on Thursday...?...

Hi Gordy
Thats a shame, I have a strong itch for a 105 GTV! I know that now they are worth a fair chunk more than a +2 but a few years a go that could've been a swop that would work out for both of us....never mind.
GTVs seem to be advertised at approx ?30k now from what I'm seeing
Good luck with the viewing
