Extreme lightweight supercar using carbon fibre and a host of exotic materials - 750kg
Lotus 7 S1 - 329kg
Lotus Elan S1 - 680kg
To be fair, the F22 does have a slight edge when it comes to HP, apparently it has 500.
Was 'Donkervoort' the best name they could come up with?

Well, I am not sure that the owner's surname should be the main criteria when choosing the name of a car company.
With all due respect to Edward Higginbottom (apparently a music scholar), I am not sure it would be a good idea to call a car a 'Higginbottom', should he choose to move into car manufacture.
Colin didn't call it the 'Chapman 7'.

The first time i saw a Donkervoort was with Club Lotus France here at the Le Mans Bugatti circuit in 2000. A Club meeting and the Donkervoort crashed.

True, and I would add Porsche and Tesla (although his name is being used posthumously as I don't believe he ever made car) to the list.
However, to make my point, I can't see many people propping up the bar at their local pub boasting about their new 'Borgward'.
