Experience of F.B. Coachworks, East Molesey for GRP Repair?

PostPost by: Stevie-Heathie » Sat Jul 02, 2016 11:16 am

Just around the corner from me is F.B. Coachworks. I'm thinking about using them following my "Oh Bother" moment yesterday http://www.lotuselan.net/forums/lotus-chassis-f36/bother-t37475.html.

The chap there says they are very experienced in GRP repairs, and I did spy an Elise in the workshop (as well as an E-Type and a Roller). They have a terrible website http://fbcoachworks.com/Portfolio.php which I actually quite like - it appeals to my old school sentimentalities: "These guys repair cars first, build websites second" :-).

Before I commit my pride and joy into their hands I thought I'd just check if anybody on here has used them before.

TIA,
Steve

Perhaps they shouldn't build websites at all - leave it to the experts, after all they are asking us not to do our own repairs but to leave it to the experts?.

The website is retro, It's like the very first generation. I am surprised the number doesn't start with 01.
Does it need any more ? Then it needs maintaining!

Just closing the loop folks. Collected the Elan from this morning and they did a good job at a reasonable price. Friendly, family run. Recommended.
