Extended winter rebuild....I'm sure the engines were designed to be level...except in the case of the elan...

John, what exactly is the set up for the engine? Does it have a set angle or would it matter as long as it didn't contact the bonnet?

I've got adjustable engine mountings, before the rebuild it was canted over a little ( no good for the dipstick calibration etc.) now it is level and with 1/2" gap between same and bonnet..

Well, I'm at a bit of a flat spot at the moment, I ordered my new chassis from Spyder and I collect it next Tuesday. (very excited :D )
So soon I will be boring everyone with questions about everything I forgot to photo. In the meantime, I spend all my time reading up on old posts. Fascinating how much info there is to learn (including the fact that I didn't know about adjustable engine mounts)
If I look like I'm always logged on, it's because I leave my notepad on and don't log out, I'm on ebay the same way. Sad really :(
