A fair innings though at 85, especially considering all of those cigars

He was a great character and his charity work raised an awesome sum of money.
I've always thought our honours system is a lot of old cobblers, often going to sporting non-entities such as "paddle boat Pinsent" and the likes of Paul McCartney for goodness sake .
Jimmy richly deserved it: RIP Sir Jimmy Saville.

Yes, indeed.
But not only was Sir Brian Rix deserving of his Knighthood...he did in fact attend the 1962 motor show...and quite possibly looked at the Lotus stand!
So who else didn't attend the show? Betty Driver?
