Its Jon Fletcher in his Elan 26R probably in the allcomers race at the end of a meeting.

This was a regular thing in the 70's club racing scene.
If your car was still running you could enter the last race which is where most of the mechanics got to race at first, me included.

Spot-on with the car in 3rd place Dave, but this was an early lap in a Formula Libre race and that "contraption" at the front was there on merit.

Look under the skin and it was pretty much a standard car. A couple of folks have even mentioned it in this thread!

In my opinion here is nothing prettier than a 33 but seeing as I do not fit , my second choice would be a toss up between a 19 painted in the UDT colors or a 15 .
