Let the pictures (non-elan cars) do the talking 2.

I'm going to show that to my wife as evidence that I'm not too bad! Actually it's something to aspire to!
Cheers

Thanks Ross,
Yes it's great fun. The adrenaline rush lasts until Wednesday. I like to think of the ride height is "optimized" to a light scrape in Turn 6 and 8A. I just wish I was a better driver. I am working on it.
There is no cure for Lotus, only treatment.

That's a very rare colour for an RS2000, Vic.
This on the other hand is a very common colour for a Twincam Escort! Restored nearly 20 years ago, and very little used until I bought it 18 months back. It's now reliable, noisy and a real hooligan...great fun!

We were spoilt downunder, our Escort Twinks could be had in any colour off the catalogue. Mine was bright orange. Went like the proverbial......lotsa fun

That was the one with the 'Lotus Designed Hemi' Robert! Do you have a picture of it?

I will send you my address to forward it to me

Great pictures, Robert. It looks like the car was fairly new when they were taken!! (Trying to be diplomatic here, which as you know, isn't what I'm known for!).
The first picture reminds me of a picture of my first Lotus Cortina, taken around 1976, after I'd sold it to an old mate.
Not sure that the surf board was used too much looking at that dead calm sea!
