Open wheeler gets a birthday

I was working on my Elan - fitting new belts as the old ones had expired and doing checks for Phillip Island in March but its to f**ing hot and i was dripping sweat on everything I touched so gave up and came inside for a beer.

I'm thinking of getting a new harness - with the 8853-2016 homologation coming through the 2" all around harnesses are looking pretty good for the Mono's tub. I've currently got a Schroth harness that's 2' on crotch and hips and 2 into 3 for the shoulders.

I guess its pretty tight in the Mono. I love how the regulations change. i started with 2 inch harness then had to change to 3 inch now back to 2 inch again.

It?s a bit squeezy in spots - let?s just say, certain sections maximise the use of available space!

I love it when an engine change involves a starter motor rewire as that also means the top front radiator pipe had to come out to get to the momentary starter switch!
