I was hoping for an Evora MK2, but not in this form. The one thing I wanted it to have was a few inches more rear leg room. Then it might actually work as daily car with the kids. But they went the opposite way and got rid of the rear seats, which to be fair probably does make sense for a market of people who will buy it.
On the positive side at least I won't have years of anguish over if I should get one or not, with me never buying one. That said the $75K entry price might push Evora prices down a bit, so I can carry on my anguish of if a 400 might *just* have enough space to get the kids in the back.

$75K? You're dreaming!
The exchange rate (which has never really been favourable, and largely why the Elise sold for E-Class Merc money in the States) takes the base price of £60K to $70-something, but add in the high cost of small-volume importation and some profit for LCUSA and I'd bet that it won't be able to be had over here for under $100K, especially since base-models probably won't be very popular if available at all.

I dont think these are the be all end all of engines for the Emira. Notice on the display, 480hp with room to spare
Of course there is no reason Lotus couldn’t boost the power, like they did with the Elan, Europa, Esprit, Elise etc.
I bet when the track version is out, and people strip them near nude. They will have good road behaviours, stable, aero and more class than what’s found in a Cracker Jack box (maybe.)
