Unique plumbing spanner

PostPost by: vincereynard » Mon Nov 09, 2015 11:22 pm

For the last few years I have been selling a special spanner / wrench specifically designed for plumbing compression joints.

I won't bore you with specification or working as it's all on the site - http://www.corick.co.uk

For various reasons I have not bothered with them for the last year but am about to investigate costing to see if it is worth bothering again now I have more time.

Anyway, the reason for this thread is that I have about 10 left from the last batch. If anyone is interested drop me a PM.

Or, of course, any comments!

Thanks for the response chaps.

As it happens I have sold quite a few to dentists! Which makes one wonder a bit.

Looks like a contender for Dragons Den?

I had a read when we conversed about the old mags. My work background is based on light side builders merchanting, I sold all sorts of plumbing equipment and wrenches but there was never anything as simple and well designed as yours.

Thanks Alan, it's always worth having the opinion of a professional. Or is it a hint to remove my digit with regards to the old mags?

As it happens I sent an example, and covering explanation, to Screwfix.
Their reply was that "it did not fit in with their product range"!! Which I imagine is corporative talk for "cannot be bothered looking."

Dear Vince

Getting products into Screwfix and the like quite often requires an upfront payment to them. You could try some of the distributors that already supply them, but I think that you would need to be able to demonstrate to them the ability to supply quantities if required.

No dig intended, I was intrigued by the web address on your auto responder and it led me to the spanners. :)
Kindest regards
