two post or four post lift
All of you guys are spoilt indeed!
Just look at the height of the roofs in your garages.
I'd love one of those toys but in my semi-detached garage no hope!

I finally bit the bullet today and ordered a Max Jax as my christmas present . This fits into my low height garage under my house with its 2.2 mm ceiling and will give my aging bones a rest from lying on my back under the car on stands to do work.
While doing a rebuild on my rear brakes last weekend I noticed a crack starting in one of the top rear strut mounts so I need to do a quick body off for repairs and this helped me make up my mind after many months of indecision. I have not had the body off since 1981 so one crack in the standard chassis after more than 30 years road and racing use is not bad. The Max Jax with its 2 post body lift to around should make this an easy one man operation to do over christmas
cheers
Rohan

I figure my MaxJax saved my back. Wouldn't it have been nice to have one way back when - like 49 years ago for me.
The body off operation is an EASY one man job.

The Urban Dictionary say:
skoosh
When you're able to successfully initiate sticking your whole nut sac (not just one, but both) into someones mouth and then holding their nose so they can't breathe.

Well it made me laugh.

A better interpretation... safer anyway ...
skoosh is that feeling that its all worth it; The feeling that you know it is all going to work out in the end; Skoosh is when u can walk a mile in the rain and not feel a drop; skoosh is when u can smile and thats all that needs to be said; skoosh is that feeling right after you have cashed in on the long chase; skoosh is that level of drunkenness where everything is beautiful; skoosh is that state of mind when you know you cannot die.
I am fair skooshed the noo...

He is Nessie (What else?) and he has done thousands of miles sitting on the top box of our Honda ST1100 Pan European Motorcycle which the bypass op' put an end to using (now sold). He has also been to both the Le Mans Classic and the Silverstone classic on the boot lid of the Elan. Many more miles to do with him yet.. He is due to go travelling again soon on the new Camper van.. Next year!!
Here are a few snaps of some of his adventures..
I am going to have to give him a wash I see.

Since our cars are so small and light, has anybody tried storing two small cars on a 4 post lift together (driven onto the lift sideways onto boards. The total weight of an Elan and a Seven or two Elans would be less than the 7 or 9 thousand pounds that 4 post lifts typically have as maximums. I wouldn't lift only one at a time placed horizontally as that would be unbalanced but with both on the balance would be fairly good, especially if placed in opposite directions.
