I've also just ordered a spinner tool from Lionel for delivery in January. He says if anyone else is interested give him a shout as he is ordering material to make it now.
By the way, I took delivery of my +2 on Saturday, it has been the subject of an incomplete restoration and will be my project for the next year.

I have just received my Spinner Tool from Lionel too!
What a beautifully machined piece of kit....it's almost a pity to put it into service!!
Lovely man who knows how to make some good stuff.
Thanks all for the connection and contact.

I have just received a Spinner Tool from Lionel and am very pleased with the engineering, it fits over the spinner with a most satisfying sound. Also found a 1/2" drive 6 point 28mm socket from Halfords at ?10.99 to complement it.
Plan to do some experiments to find an angular torque figure for the spinners rather than rely on the given torque settings as in the past I have had some issues with spinner threads bottoming before clamping the wheel centre.

Hi, Mike (Washer), I think you may have a typing error, thats if your Spinner Tool is for the Std 3 ears.
Mine requires a 38mm socket, and yes Halfords sell a Professional Impact 6 point one for ?10.99.
As a number of people have already stated, it is a great bit of kit.
