No, I was thinking of reducing the light output if necessary...
( am replacing 5 5ft flourescents in each garage and fitting 2 in the pit.. )

I just installed LED tubes in place of the 2x8 foot florescent lights and the difference is literally night and day!
It was very simple to remove the ballasts and redo the wiring-all positive to one end, all negative to the other and then fit the LED tubes. Bought cheaply on amazon under the Jesled name brand.

Four 5ft in the shed , Four 5ft in the garage and four 5ft in the pit , all is good... ( maybe too bright in the pit and not exactly directional.. )
