Piston Holding Ring For Three Jaw Chuck

While working my way through current engine build, the realisation occurs that making some simple and effective tools will make certain jobs easier, and also prevent any chance of unwanted damage. The pistons required small amount of metal on the outer part of the crown machined off to get the required 020" distance below the top of the block. The holding ring was machined from a scrap piece of hollow bar to suit 83.5mm Dia pistons. This is a very effective and secure method of carrying out any piston turning operations.
