Rear Ride Height +2

Can anyone suggest a good ride height for a road going + 2 on standard Armstrong 620 shocks with standard springs but with Elantrikbits adjustable perches. I only moved to adjustable to be able to get undamaged hubs( calliper fixing points were bad).
Any suggestions would be great, and if some could measure the height on a standard set up from wheelarch to ground this would help as I forgot to do this before I stripped old struts, I’m sitting on maximum adjustment just now for ease of fitting.
And I want to keep my fillings in my teeth
Cheers

Hi
I have seen all sorts of ride heights. The spring rate does not change with height so your fillings are safe unless you hit a speed hump too hard. The general consensus is (I think) that the rear (and front) lower suspension arms should be parallel to the ground and thereby give the correct (standard) ride height.
I remember buying a +2 once that sat too high and had non adjustable spring platforms. I swapped out the springs for an original set that came from a 1968 car and bingo, perfect ride height.
My current (Spyder RSC suspension) +2 sits far too high even with the adjustable platforms wound all the way down. I'm probably going to have to get custom springs made for the rear. The fronts I think standard springs from an old car should fit. I have plenty of those.
All the best

Zetec+ 2 under const, also 130S. And another 130S for complete restoration. Previously Racing green +2s with green tints. Yellow +2 and a couple of others, all missed. Great to be back 04/11/2021 although its all starting to get a bit out of control.

That’s me in the same position as you Berni, adjustable wound all the way down but still marginally higher than I would like, rear sitting at 26” unsure if the springs are stock now think there may be an extra coil.
All that said I can live with that, it look like same ride as before, just glad I got struts without any damage fitted.
It been an interesting project and one which I work on with a budget, plus I’ve learned a little as we go.

My ride height is exactly 25" - replacement springs but original rear uprights. I seem to remember that Lotus raised the ride height at some stage to reduce the incidence of exhaust damage, and there are certainly different springs around. 25" still seems on the high side.
