S3 Front Shock/Spring Assembly

PostPost by: Tmac897 » Thu Nov 02, 2023 7:38 pm

When at full droop, is there any tension on the front spring? It’s been a while since I assembled and I can’t remember if I had to compress the springs to get the assembly back in place. I’m just disconnecting to check/mitigate bump steer, so nothing to do with the shocks/springs themselves.

Thanks….

Hi Tony.
You can remove the springs for bump steer testing with no difficulty. Compressor not required.

Damper/spring can be removed as a unit, compressor needed to fit/remove spring.
