Best Koni setting??

Both times I have had Koni's fitted, I have had them set at the softest for the road, which mimics the atandard ride , which I like.
I've tweaked them up a bit (and the GAZ fronts), when I've been on track a couple of times, then re-set them to the softest afterwards.
Obviously it's very subjective. 30 years ago, I'd probably have had them screwed stiffer, but now I like the comfort , similar to the original shocks.
Best to experiment to see what you prefer.

When I refitted my refurbished koni inserts at the softest setting I found them to be very soft. Unfortunately TVadjusting them requires the strut to be fully compressed then the damper rod turned through “ clicks” to adjust. I’ve now set them to the middle position but have yet to get the car back on the road. I also fitted the aluminium spacers on top of the strut to bring the aeon spring into play earlier

Are TTR 26R style adjustables Koni's? For road use, I set to softest, then periodically click firmer, then when harshness sets in, back off one or two to taste. I did find that the shocks felt hardest at new, and loosened up a bit over a thousand miles or so. John
