Rear shocks/dampers

PostPost by: mcole01 » Wed Dec 07, 2022 4:53 pm

Hello,

Am I correct that the inner ring at the top of the shock needs to be removed, I assume using pin pliers? Any tricks to doing it?

Thanks,

Mike

If those are Koni shocks, there is a pin wrench that goes over the rod.

Let me know the distance between the holes. I may have the wrench for you. It's yours for the cost of shipping.

Are you going to fit new Inserts so the old ones will be scrap.
If so use some heat before trying to unscrew. The threads may have been "loctited" and some heat will destroy the loctite.
