Elan K/O front stubshafts

What's the best way to fit the K/O stubshafts to the uprights - D washer flat top, front/rear or bottom?

Both my S2 and Plus2 have the flat on the side.

For a right handed person I would arrange the split-pin hole at 1’oclock /7’oclock position.

So there's no real rule but more or less "comfort". 1 o'clock sounds fine
