TTR rear suspension assembly?

I tried contacting TTR about this but didn't get an answer, so maybe one of you guys knows. In the picture below, notice that there are two threaded fasteners on the damper-rod, the big one that threads into the the tube and the nut that goes on top of the lotocone. Now note the big metal ring on the rod between those two fasteners. Where exactly does that ring go when everything is properly assembled to the car?

It's a spacer that goes below the damper in the bottom of the tube. It should have an internal chamfer on one side which the bottom of the damper sits in.
Did you get some top-hat spacers for the top mount as well ? If not you may need to make some up. They are mentioned on the installation sheet that comes with the dampers.

I received no installation sheet with the parts or documentation of any kind other than the invoice and several copies of the Daily Mail used as packing.

Here's a couple of TTR instruction sheets I have. The one on the right came with my dampers and mentions the bottom spacer that you have. The other Koni sheet is basically the same but mentions the top-hat spacer I referred to. Don't know which sheet applies to the dampers you have.
