Workshop Manual Toe-In Specs: Total or "Per Side?"

Easy one, I hope folks. Are the toe-in specifcations given in the workshop manual the total or "per-side" figures?
I presume total, but I'm not sure . . .
0.1875" (4.76 mm) - 0.0625" (1.6 mm)

I believe the rear specification toe in is per wheel not total and I followed up after the referenced posting chain to more fully understand it. The rear Europa and S1 Esprit in the late 60's and 70 are listed per wheel toe in. I discussed this by email with the current manual writer at Lotus a number of years ago and his belief is that at that time front was given as total as the front wheels are linked but rear was given per individual wheel as they were not linked. This interpretation is consistent with how Lotus listed it for other cars and he felt Lotus would have used the same convention for the Elan. But like many things Lotus nothing is certain
