Front Hub Rear Bearing Question

Hi Just a quick question , as I can't see the answer in the manual.

The front outer wheel bearing just pops out when the nut is removed , however the rear bearing is held in by a circular cover. should this just pop out ?

I wanted to remove both bearings , inspect and re-grease.

Hi,
Rear bearing outer is retained in place by the felt grease seal, the metal plate you can see is the backing part of that seal that is a light press fit. It would seem the felt ring has become detached or missing.
