Tire's once more???

I've checked the archives and can't seem to find a definitive answer. Can I run the common 155/80 tires on an S1 that is fitted with everything stock or will they rub. Like the early steel wheels and don't want to modify the body!

If the body is the same as an S2 (I believe it is) I have 155/80 fitted on my S2 with no problems.

I run that size on lotus steel wheels & stock springs on a late 63 S1 no issues .

145's are harder to come by and had an opportunity to get an order in for some. Guess I won't need them!
