rear caliper mounting spacers?

hi guys, well after refurbing the rear calipers on my 71 sprint, i am trying to fit them back on. as i bought this car as a basket case a lot of the parts were already removed, after fitting new cv d/shafts and ttr dampers new discs, and springs, there is a gap of around 2'' between the rear carrier and the caliper boss for the caliper to fit properly either side of the disc, is there some kind of spacer that fits between the caliper boss and the rear carrier? thanks ian.

Hi Ian,
There are no spacers. Is it possible you have the disc mounted on the wrong side of the outboard driveshaft spider ? It should go on the outboard side of the spider.

As above no spacers. You may have got the disc on inside out.
