The Elanbulance: 1971 Lotus Hexagon Shooting Brake

PostPost by: holywood3645 » Sat Sep 15, 2012 1:42 am

This 1971 Lotus Elan is said to be one of two cars converted into a wagon body style early 1972 by a firm called Hexagon. The car was written up in Autosport in 1972, and we have seen photos of this car from events around Europe but never imagined it would end up for sale. Adding lightness doesn?t seem like the priority here, but we like the looks of thus likely heavier S4. Find it here on eBay in Nancy, France for 55,000 GBP. Special thanks to BaT reader Joseph K. for this submission!

Not mine but interesting

An Elanchero might be a bit more interesting, I was never into the station wagon thing :)
Do rifle racks come in different sizes? hmm, redneck Elan mod :D
