Rear Strut top castle nut

Hi all,
Need help with determining the top castle nut thread pitch and diameter for the Koni inserts on my S2 Elan. This is the nut on top of the lotocone.
It measures .685 outside diameter on shaft and the thread pictch seems to match 16 but not sure. Ideas???

Just measured one I have lying around and can confirm 0.686? dia x 16TPI.
This thread is a real oddball ? it took some finding.
It turns out to be an SAE Standard 11/16? dia x 16TPI.
