A question for the knowledgable:- are the front discs on the baby Elan the same as those on a Triumph Spitfire Mk1?

Hi

Most of the front suspension is Triumph Spitfire/Herald, trunnions, disks, brake calipers so you should not have problems finding bits for your Elan

The spitfire front callipers were also used on the Austin / BL / Rover Metro and so tend to be cheaper from motor factor type places than specialists, as in about ?25 difference so worth shopping around. That's an interesting thought, I wonder if the brake discs themselves are the same. Anyone know?
