Michelin XAS FF

Coker lists these as tubeless tires and yet research from the forum says 13D tubes are required. Is this correct? If so, why? Coker lists a TR13 tube. Would this be an equivalent to the 13D.
Thanks
Chris

Can't help with the questions but have you priced them up at longstones?

They will have the right tubes and expect they'll have a better price.

Hi there. I fitted these two years ago and yes they need tubes. Interestingly there is a safety recall in the US but not in Europe.

Depends on the wheels you are using.
I have them on 5 spoke revolutions without tubes
I believe the original steel wheels don't have the required safety ridge and require tubes, but happy to be corrected.

You are correct about the US recall. Only issue is the tires are missing the US “DOT” mark on the sidewall and had not been tested to the DOT standards. So Michelin is performing the test and manufacturing new tires with the required marking. There have been no defects or failures reported.
